Learn@UW-Stout (D2L) Course Cleanup

In order to maintain the overall health of the Learn@UW (D2L) system, Learn@UW-Utility in Madison is continuing the Course Cleanup process on all campuses to remove all Learn@UW (D2L) courses from the fall 2011 to summer 2012.  Course Cleanup refers to the complete removal and deletion of courses that are no longer needed.

Due to a recent service pack,  some instructors have been seeing their courses listed in Learn@UW-Stout by the “Last 10 accessed” instead of being grouped by term.  Once the Course Cleanup process has been completed, these instructors should expect to see their courses grouped by term once again.

If you have a course(s) in the affected semesters, please complete the following by Friday, March 13, 2015:

Review your fall 2011 to summer 2012 courses and determine whether you want to retain any courses/content.  If you choose to retain any courses/content, some of your options are to:

  • Export (archive) an entire course or selected components in a format that can be imported back into Learn@UW (D2L)
  • Download course files from the Manage Files area
  • Export the Gradebook
  • Archive Discussion posts
  • Download student Dropbox submissions

For step-by-step instructions on how to complete the options listed above, go to:  http://www.uwstout.edu/lit/learn/instructors.cfm and click on the “Resources” tab.  You can also attend a Learn@UW (D2L) open lab in 318 Millennium Hall for assistance with exporting course content, etc., on one of the following dates (please bring your laptop):

  • 9:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m., Tuesday, March 3
  • 1:15 p.m. – 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, March 4
